We could probably go on and on about why this bridge was challenging to build, but let's conclude that it was built. At the right time. At the agreed price. Without injury to the crew and with minimal impact on the environment.
Those who use national road 80 between Bodø and Fauske save about 2 kilometres of driving and avoid the fear of passing the landslide-prone Hopshamran.
From the Storting's approval of the construction in April 2011 to the start of construction in May 2011 was a record pace.
